Job Purpose
The Assistant Procurement Manager for Collaborative Manufacturing will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost savings.
Main Responsibilities
- Price Forecasting and Negotiation: Develop accurate price forecasts and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
- Savings and Value Delivery: Deliver savings and value through negotiations, tenders, and portfolio analysis.
- Negotiation Strategy and Management: Prepare negotiation strategies and manage negotiations jointly with Category SC teams.
- SC Optimization Projects: Coordinate and execute CM workstreams in SC optimization projects.
- Financial Targets: Deliver on key financial targets, such as gross margin improvement and cash flow improvement.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Manage supplier relationships as the first point of contact.
- New Supplier Scouting: Scout for new suppliers that are fit for purpose and in line with the Supply Chain strategy.
- Talent Development: Contribute to team goals by leading common areas on behalf of the team.
- Partnership Building: Build partnerships with key suppliers and ensure compliance (audits, specifications, general terms and conditions).
- Sustainability: Support the sustainability agenda.
- Supply Security: Develop contingency plans and alternatives to ensure supply security.
- Supply Network Performance: Monitor overall performance of the supply network and ensure continuous improvement.
