Chief Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting operations at indaHash. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions, as well as playing a key role in developing and implementing our company's overall accounting strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO and management team to establish and maintain a robust finance department
  • Make informed decisions regarding the scheduling of changes and implementation timelines within the accounting department
  • Oversee the financial accounting of a group of legal entities across multiple countries, including AR, AP, and GL
  • Work closely with local and foreign accounting offices to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Ensure full tax and statutory reporting, including VAT, CIT, withholding tax, and GUS
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, as well as chart of accounts
  • Prepare periodic financial statements, analyses, and reports, including consolidation of Financial Statements at the group level
  • Lead statutory audits and tax controls, as needed
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and data for reporting, forecasting, and controlling purposes
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and coordinate the resolution of accounting issues
  • Continuously improve and optimize accounting and tax processes
  • Participate in other projects and initiatives related to accounting
  • Manage and lead the accounting team
Requirements:
  • Polish language proficiency at the C1 level is mandatory
  • At least five years of experience in an Accounting department, with a minimum of two years in a Chief Accountant role (marketing/advertising industry experience is an asset)
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and international accounting standards
  • Excellent management and organizational skills, with experience in building and controlling external accounting offices
  • Good knowledge of accounting consolidation of Financial Statements
  • English language proficiency at the C1 level
  • Strong MS Office skills, with expertise in MS Excel
  • Proactive approach, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and strategic thinking
  • Experience working with multinational companies and accountancy regulations is a plus
  • ACCA or other financial/accounting certification is an asset
