Strategic Technology Risk Management Leader

As a key member of the Technology Controls Assurance Team at State Street, this role plays a vital part in our First Line of Defense function. The individual filling this position will be responsible for driving effective technology risk management and controls assurance across our organization. This includes testing internal IT controls throughout the year and supporting objectives of multiple audit, risk, and compliance programs.
This position requires a strong understanding of IT general controls and an understanding of technology risk drivers within the Financial Services Industry.
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with IT process and control owners to understand and document internal IT controls, as well as support the management of the central IT Control Library within State Street's GRC tool.
This role demands a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are also essential.
A bachelor's degree in information technology, risk management, audit, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required. A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in technology risk management, audit, and/or compliance is also necessary.
This position is a critical component of our technology function, Global Technology Services (GTS), which is vital to State Street's business. We're driving the company's digital transformation and expanding business capabilities using industry best practices and advanced technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence, and robotics process automation.
