Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Claims Specialist to join our Shell Business Operations team. As a Claims Specialist, you will play a critical role in minimizing the impact of cost claims and maximizing the recovery of pursued claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate claims and verify contractual agreements to ensure accurate cost recovery.
  • Prepare and negotiate claims with third parties and stakeholders to maximize income while reducing costs.
  • Ensure timely recovery of claims and accurate financial implications in trading systems.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders, including Oil Traders, Commercial Operators, and Inspection companies.
  • Negotiate claims to deliver value and retain profit.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports and trend analyses.
  • Manage and monitor sanctions processes according to Compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement to save time and money.
Requirements
  • University Degree level or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders and counterparties via remote communication.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand oil deals, their execution, and technicalities.
  • Microsoft Excel skills at medium level.
  • Ability to read and interpret legal language.
  • Experience in the industry, particularly in Marine/Terminal Operations, Oil Loss Claims, Quality claims, Refinery and Terminal Logistics, and/or Trading Contracts.
