About the Role

We are seeking experienced Actuaries and professionals from the insurance industry to join our team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor the valuation and validation of insurance liabilities under Solvency II and IFRS17 for ERGO Group insurance companies.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of models and methods used, along with assumptions made for insurance liability valuation, including data sufficiency and quality assessment.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of L&H insurance liabilities valuation and related IT solutions, such as Prophet.
  • Conduct independent reviews (insurance liabilities valuation and validation, reinsurance arrangements, underwriting policy incl. ESG risks, local actuarial governance).
  • Support the Group Actuarial Function's annual report, which involves assisting the Segment Actuarial Function on reserve adequacy, insurance liabilities valuation reliability, overall underwriting policy, reinsurance arrangements, and actuarial governance.
  • Handle special tasks and ad hoc requests, also in project and working groups, as well as coordinate valuation changes process regarding insurance liabilities (IFRS17 and Solvency II).

Requirements
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Degree in Mathematics, Economics, or Business Administration with a focus on finance, or comparable education.
  • Willingness to travel abroad (twice per quarter, 2/3 days).
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the insurance industry in risk management, actuarial, statistics, or ALM areas.
  • Desirable: IFRS17 knowledge.
  • Competence in providing technical guidance, excellent communication skills, and strong team spirit.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, and high level of commitment.
  • Ideal: Completed actuarial professional education with extensive knowledge of valuation models for insurance liabilities and the activities of the actuarial function of a primary insurer (Solvency II Directive, Delegated Regulation, and Guidelines on the valuation of technical provisions).

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is approximately €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
