We're seeking an exceptional Chief Technology Officer to join our team and lead the charge in driving technology strategy across the company. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to work with talented engineers, developers, and consultants to create industry-leading simulator solutions.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technology development strategy, ensuring product scalability, security, stability, and alignment with company objectives. You'll provide strategic leadership in developing and executing the company's technology vision, focusing on real-time simulation, SaaS, Cloud, and 3D visualization/gaming graphic engines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technology Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy, driving innovation and growth through cutting-edge technologies and partnerships.
  2. Team Management: Lead, build, and mentor a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  3. Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure timely delivery.
  4. Technology Architecture: Ensure a strong, scalable architecture for the entire company, stabilizing, compartmentalizing, and building upon existing technology solutions while addressing technology debt.
  5. Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with customers, SaaS providers, Cloud platforms gaming graphic engine vendors, and relevant technology stakeholders.
  6. Innovation and Research: Drive a culture of innovation within the technology team, fostering exploration and learning in SaaS, Cloud, Unity3D, Java & AI.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven leadership experience in a technology-focused organization, ideally as a CTO or similar role.
  3. High drive and motivation to inspire and lead teams with passion and initiative.
  4. Expertise in scaling products and optimizing engineering processes.
  5. Proven expertise in leading technology teams for successful SaaS and Cloud project delivery, with in-depth knowledge of scalable cloud services and architecture.
  6. Experience with real-time simulation and 3D visualization.
  7. Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills combined with a hands-on approach to technology management.
  8. Strong leadership and team management abilities, capable of inspiring a diverse team towards achieving excellence.
  9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  10. Experience with gaming graphic engines, particularly Unity3D.
  11. High-level understanding of Java and its application in technology solutions.
  12. Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Compensation and Perks

  1. The selected candidate will be offered a permanent contract with a highly competitive compensation package.
  2. Package includes an attractive base salary of $180,000 per annum supplemented with company shares, 6% pension, and excellent health/insurance coverage.
  3. Candidate will receive access to a gym membership, a communication allowance, and five weeks of annual holiday leave.
  4. Flexible work time out of core hours (9am - 3pm); with work/life balance understanding.
  5. Relocation package will be offered to those relocating.
  6. Opportunity to join a multi-national team in Norway.
