About the Role

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for multiple EMEA countries. This role requires a professional and driven individual with experience in payroll processing for large pan-European teams. You will be dedicated to ensuring accurate results and statutory compliance, while providing excellent customer service and working closely with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the end-to-end payroll process for multiple country payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate payment of net salaries, payroll taxes, and related benefits.
  2. Liaise with external payroll vendors to ensure seamless processing and compliance with local regulations.
  3. Maintain accurate records and reports, including year-end processing and statutory filings as they relate to payroll, payroll taxes, and benefits.
  4. Collaborate with HR Services, Stock Services, and other business units to obtain monthly updates for payroll.
  5. Respond promptly to queries from payroll vendors, HR Services, and employees through the HR Employee Service Centre.
  6. Ensure SOX payroll compliance through established internal processes and maintain good working relationships with Finance/GL teams.
  7. Support Time and Attendance system for your countries and resulting inputs to payroll.
  8. Update internal payroll procedures manual regularly to reflect changes in process.
  9. Support other team members with workload as needed and share payroll knowledge with designated 'back-up' team members to ensure business continuity.
  10. Embrace change in a fast-moving environment and scope to process further countries as required.

Requirements

  • Experience of payroll processing for multiple countries in medium/large organizations.
  • Highly proficient in interpreting payroll rules and regulations.
  • Excellent Excel skills and ability to analyze data accurately.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English essential and additional languages desirable.
  • Experience of decision-making with complete ownership of payroll process.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support simultaneous business demands and deadlines.
  • Structured and organized approach with previous experience within a pan-European environment or EMEA team.
  • Previous experience of ADP (Streamline or Celergo advantageous) and Time and Attendance systems and feeds to payroll.
  • Salary range: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
