Demand Planning and Forecasting Assistant Manager

Job Description
Genpact is seeking a skilled Forecasting Specialist to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining statistical forecasts for our portfolio, utilizing advanced planning systems and collaboration scenario modeling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain statistical forecasts for the portfolio across all time horizons.
- Research demand drivers and prepare forecast data for analysis.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, bias, MAPE, and value add.
- Select the best statistical model for forecast items that cannot be modeled by the system, considering seasonality, responsiveness, trend, and stability.
- Contribute to promotion planning based on data insights.
- Run machine learning forecasts and disaggregation to building blocks.
- Cleanse data and ensure final output is completed in the system.
- Analyze historical demand performance and generate reports.
- Collaborate with demand planners to generate initial forecasts for new products.
- Optimize and tune statistical forecasts, updating system parameters after conducting necessary analysis.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied math, or other relevant field.
- Strong understanding of advanced planning systems and its functionality.
- Knowledge of ERP functionality, experience with SAP / Oracle / JDE an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in forecasting using statistical techniques and collaboration scenario modeling.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills.
