Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forecasting Specialist to join our team at Genpact. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining statistical forecasts for our portfolio, utilizing advanced planning systems and collaboration scenario modeling techniques.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Create and maintain statistical forecasts for the portfolio across all time horizons.
  2. Research demand drivers and prepare forecast data for analysis.
  3. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, bias, MAPE, and value add.
  4. Select the best statistical model for forecast items that cannot be modeled by the system, considering seasonality, responsiveness, trend, and stability.
  5. Contribute to promotion planning based on data insights.
  6. Run machine learning forecasts and disaggregation to building blocks.
  7. Cleanse data and ensure final output is completed in the system.
  8. Analyze historical demand performance and generate reports.
  9. Collaborate with demand planners to generate initial forecasts for new products.
  10. Optimize and tune statistical forecasts, updating system parameters after conducting necessary analysis.

Qualifications We Seek

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied math, or other relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of advanced planning systems and its functionality.
  • Knowledge of ERP functionality, experience with SAP / Oracle / JDE an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in forecasting using statistical techniques and collaboration scenario modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills.
