Electronics Engineer for HVDC Systems

Hitachi Energy Poland Sp. z o.o. is seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team in Krakow, Poland.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced electronics engineer to participate in the development of hardware platforms for our HVDC control and protection systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of digital electronics design, simulation, and prototyping. They will also be familiar with laboratory test and measurement equipment and circuit boards testing and reworking.
The role involves conceptual design of hardware platforms based on initial requirements, influencing technology based on the candidate's knowledge and experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues from MACHTM teams in Sweden and India, developing end-to-end solutions integrating electronic hardware, FPGA, and embedded software.

Your Responsibilities- Participate in the full lifecycle of hardware platforms for HVDC control and protection systems, from idea to release and sustaining production.
- Take care of robust design, including analogue/digital electronics, high-speed, optoelectronics, gate drivers, power electronics, etc...
- Do conceptual design of hardware platforms based on initial requirements, influence technology based on your knowledge and experience.
- Work with simulations, parts selection, schematics, and layout.
- Do prototyping, validating, and testing. Care of testing infrastructure and environment.
- Prepare and manage technical documentation.
- Participate in technical reviews and project planning.
- Drive processes and tools improvement activities.
We are looking for someone with practical knowledge of hardware electronics design process and tools (e.g. SPICE, Altium, PADS, Zuken CADSTAR...).
Experience with laboratory test and measurement equipment and circuit boards testing and reworking is also essential.
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies is required.
A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and good communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
The estimated salary for this position is between 6000 - 9000 PLN per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
