Overview

Hitachi Energy is looking for an experienced electronics hardware engineer to join our R&D team in Krakow. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of advanced control and protection systems for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission.

Key Responsibilities

* Participate in the full lifecycle of hardware platform development for HVDC control and protection systems, from concept to production.
* Design and develop robust electronic circuits, including analogue and digital electronics, high-speed optoelectronics, and power electronics.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement innovative solutions.
* Work with simulation tools, parts selection, schematics, and layout to ensure efficient and reliable design.
* Prototype, verify, and validate designs, and maintain test infrastructure and setups.
* Prepare and manage technical documentation, and drive technical reviews and project planning.
* Drive process and tool improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

Requirements

* Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related field.
* At least 5 years of professional experience in hardware design, including analogue and digital circuits.
* Practical knowledge of design tools (e.g. SPICE, Altium, PADS, Zuken CADSTAR).
* Experience with laboratory test and measurement equipment, and circuit boards testing and reworking.
* Strong commitment to safe work practices and adherence to relevant workplace safety guidelines.
* High level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
* Collaborative solutions-oriented approach, and good communication skills.
* Awareness of relevant industry standards and methodology.
* English language - Intermediate / B1 / Technical communication.
