The Opportunity

This position plays a critical role in the Abbott Heart Failure Division, working out of our Poland location. As the Therapy Development Manager, you will develop and implement a strategic roadmap for Heart Failure market development and education, aligning with the HF business plans.

The Therapy Development Manager identifies market needs, including required concepts, tools, and education for stakeholders such as physicians, hospitals, and the ABT HF Poland team. This role is driven by regional, product differences, and alignment with EMEA functions, making it a critical contributor to business growth.

This position is responsible for serving as a key contributor to the overall commercial effort for the HF portfolio, including leading product launches, product management, increasing market access and reimbursement, co-developing growth strategies with sales leaders, and collaborating with sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams on various initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical marketing plans for assigned product lines, resulting in annual and mid-term growth plans.
  • Create and implement Heart Failure education strategies to meet the needs of physicians, distributors, and ABT HF.
  • Analyze strategy results to ensure sales and profit objectives are met.
  • Build market intelligence frameworks and dashboards for Heart Failure, integrating them into business plans.
  • Lead accurate market share reporting and collaborate with sales leaders on necessary actions.
  • Develop sales enablement tools and support the sales team in executing programs and strategies.
  • Lead international Heart Failure society trade show strategies, including symposiums and customer meetings.
  • Participate in Heart Failure management team activities, including planning, budgeting, and team development.
  • Develop and measure training-based initiatives, such as Multi-Physician Education programs and peer-to-peer education.
  • Collaborate with Program Management and Strategic Marketing to drive product and data development priorities.
  • Define and execute strategies to ensure market penetration and growth in alignment with the Poland Manager Heart Failure.
  • Keep sales teams updated with new scientific data and competitive product information.
  • Manage contracts with Heart Failure Centers of Excellence for educational events and gather input from KOLs on marketing and educational strategies.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to discuss new product developments and meet clients.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree (in science-related field preferred)
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in Medical Sales in a complex matrix environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of heart failure therapies in medical devices or pharma.
  • Team leadership and development skills in a matrix organization.
  • Native Polish and Fluent English
  • Proven track record of delivering valuable projects and activities.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, sales, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in a broader enterprise/cross-division business model preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse environment.
  • Capable of working both independently and in a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at multiple organizational levels.
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and deadline management.
