Purpose of the Position

  • The Parts Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the operational purchasing of spare parts, ensuring timely delivery and quality control. This role requires strong communication skills to bridge the gap between suppliers and our organization.
  • The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to identify potential risks in supply chains, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Collaboration with our sourcing team will be key to managing our international supplier base and ensuring performance meets our requirements.
  • Working closely with part planners, the Parts Procurement Specialist will optimize lead times and ensure parts availability.
  • Effective communication with customer service will be crucial in keeping them informed about expected delivery dates for backordered parts.
  • Reviewing supplier invoices and handling claims will also be an essential part of this role.
  • Supporting the purchasing master data management will be a key responsibility.
  • Continuously developing and improving our purchase process will be a top priority.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Delivering high supply accuracy for stocked spare parts and urgency for orders containing backordered parts.
  • Maintaining accurate information on the purchase order process.
  • Handling deviations in the purchase and billing process.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience.
  • A structured and organized approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A high sense of urgency and customer-centric mindset.
  • Fluency in English.
