Senior UX Researcher Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Researcher to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a Senior UX Researcher, you will play a key role in defining and executing user research programs that drive business outcomes.
About the Role
- User Research Expertise: You will lead foundational research activities to explore problem spaces, frame problems, and gather evidence to inform product decisions.
- Research Approach: Determine and recommend efficient and effective user-centered research approaches to solve business needs and guide business areas through the UX process.
- Data Analysis: Synthesize quantitative data with qualitative data to tell impactful stories, informing product and design decisions.
- UX Success Metrics: Define and report on UX success metrics and behavioral targets.
- Design Principles: Create design principles in collaboration with designers, informed by internal and external data sources.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with user experience team members, content writers, development teams, product teams, users, and other stakeholders in an agile software development process.
- Self-Development: Take ownership of self-development, staying current with research techniques and tools in the field of UX.
- Mentorship: Mentor and assist UX Researchers as needed.
About You
- Education: Master's degree or higher in a field such as Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Human Factors, Engineering Psychology, Interactive Design, or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of UX research experience or 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- UX Research Experience: Experience in UX research on B2B SaaS solutions.
- Research Methods: Experience in foundational/generative and qualitative research to identify needs/problems and workflow/task analysis.
- Data Analytics: Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research throughout an Agile development process. Experience with using data analytics to identify UX research course of action a plus.
