Job Title: Global Specification Director

McCormick is seeking a highly skilled Global Specification Director to lead our team in developing and executing strategies for Raw Material Data, Customer Technical Services & Specification Team Day 2-day operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the Global Specification Team, including raw material, semi-finished, and finished goods specifications.
  • Manage domestic and international food safety, quality, and supply chain issues, conducting risk assessments and generating analysis reports to take preventive and corrective measures.
  • Manage the overall effective operation of the Global Specification team to achieve agreed Key Performance Indicators, including service levels delivery, volume, data quality, and overall service satisfaction.
  • Manage talent within the Global Specification team function, providing coaching, counseling, training, and team development, and lead the team in establishing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Regional Regulatory Business Partners, Regional QA, COE function, and other cross-functional key stakeholders to deliver ongoing efficiency improvements through operational developments, process re-engineering, and technology enhancements.
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external customers and transfer knowledge as required to the TSS Specification Team.
Candidate Profile:
  • Master's degree in a Food Science-related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in senior technical roles in the food industry and 5+ years in leadership.
  • Fluent English, knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Exposure to the food industry, including knowledge of food standards, microbiology, and Food Safety.
  • Ability to interact with all levels, demonstrate ability to get things done through people.
  • Excellent customer service skills, relationship building, leadership capabilities, strong presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to partner with various stakeholders to define common objectives and strategies to achieve business results.
  • Proven effective business and project management, goal, and results-oriented with a successful track record.
