Job Description

Boeing is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Automation Specialist to join our team in Poland.

The position will be associated with one of our Poland offices, and candidates can work from our office or in hybrid mode from home if preferred.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Automation Specialist to partner with our vendor in designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to streamline cloud operations, enhance efficiency, and improve performance.

The role will involve working with customers and teams all over the globe, and the position offers flexible working options, including hybrid or remote work with occasional on-site visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a comprehensive plan to help Boeing app teams reduce manual tasks, increase operational efficiency, and enable self-service capabilities on the Dell hosted cloud environments.
  2. Partner with Dell delivery teams to enable Boeing app teams to implement automated workflows and scripts for provisioning and managing cloud resources like virtual machines, storage, and networking.
  3. Assist developers with their CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment within the private cloud environment.
  4. Develop automated monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify performance issues and security vulnerabilities.
  5. Create automated governance processes to enforce compliance with security policies and cost management practices.
  6. Design and develop user-friendly portals to enable end-users to independently manage cloud resources.
  7. Create custom script templates and tools to automate repetitive tasks and enhance cloud administration. Assist app teams with configuration and implementation.
  8. Integrate cloud services and tools to ensure smooth data flow and coordination.
  9. Provide technical support and troubleshoot automation-related issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  2. Proven experience in automation technologies and scripting languages.
  3. Familiarity with private cloud environments (e.g., OpenStack, VMware).
  4. Knowledge of CI/CD principles and cloud security best practices.
  5. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  7. Familiarity with VMware hypervisor, Kurbernetes container technology stacks such as Tanzu and RedHat OpenShift, Infrastructure as a Service and Infrastructure as Code methodology.
