Job Purpose:

As a Business Development Manager at TD SYNNEX, you will be responsible for driving vendor growth plans and translating them into strategic segments. You will work closely with marketing to align on MDF and with the sales organization on specialized opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the Business Unit strategy to grow profitable market share under supervision.
  • Negotiate key tenders and large deals with knowledge of assigned vendor product/service lines.
  • Optimize results by driving sales from agreed vendor portfolios, including new vendor identification, onboarding, and business development initiatives.
  • Build successful proposals by gathering customer information and planning effective approaches that demonstrate understanding of requirements.
  • Take solution and service offerings to market, including TaaS.
  • Own quarterly vendor business planning and execution.
  • Drive overall vendor management.
  • Deliver value to customers while maintaining expected margin returns against balanced product mixes.
  • Enable sales teams to win and grow share of wallet and market share.
  • Develop relationships and engagement with vendors and stakeholders to position TD SYNNEX as the trusted advisor.
  • Ensure ongoing use of CRM tools for best-in-class business continuity.
  • Maintain full knowledge of assigned vendor product/service lines.
  • Understand TD SYNNEX's core value proposition and communicate effectively with customers.
Requirements:
  • Good emotional intelligence.
  • Clear understanding of strategic direction and challenges.
  • Effective communication using a range of tools with customers.
  • Influence and persuasion.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Self-management.
  • Skilled multi-level relationship builder.
  • High energy and motivation.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the IT industry with channel and/or vendor at a business development level, ideally from a sales or product marketing background.
  • Strong orientation towards and experience in services and solution selling.
  • Strategic planning and business case development.
  • Experience working within a matrix structure.
  • Proven ability to self-manage in an external environment.
  • Business planning experience with strong operational cadence.
