We're seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team in Katowice, Poland. This role involves supporting UR partners and customers in pre-and post-sales activities, ensuring the best product experience together.

In this position, you'll contribute to technical and application engineering activities in our NEE region. You'll collaborate with design and development groups to find effective applications, equipment, and help grow our successful business.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical proficiency and pre-sales experience in automation and robotics. Key responsibilities include:

  • Pursuing initiatives to enhance group effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring and supporting the technical development of distributors, systems integrators, OEMs, and integration partners within our UR+ Ecosystem.
  • Providing input to Product Management for structuring future development roadmaps and researching competitors to improve our product portfolio.
  • Participating in internal and external relations, acting as an ambassador for Universal Robots, and navigating a rapidly changing environment.
  • Collaborating with Marketing, UR Academy, UR+, and other value stream teams to ensure timely information exchange and develop a positive working environment.
  • Working closely with the Global Applications Team to contribute to our business vision.

To succeed in this role, we imagine you'll bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics.
  • Three or more years of experience in the Robotics and Automation Industry, including hands-on installation, commissioning, debugging, and understanding the complete lifecycle of Robotics Systems.
  • Programming skills in Robotics languages, preferably Polyscope and URScript.
  • Knowledge of high-level programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion, or similar) and offline programming software.
  • The ability to assess problems logically and provide solutions to stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to initiate work without specific instruction.
  • Advanced English language proficiency, both oral and written.
  • Advanced Polish language proficiency, both oral and written.
  • Czech language proficiency is a plus.
  • A driving license.

This role comes with +30% travel and flexibility to work outside normal hours to effectively collaborate with our Global teams.

An estimated salary for this role is approximately $80,000-$120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
