Director of External Contract Manufacturing

About the Role

Baxter is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our External Contract Manufacturing (ECM) strategy and operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing ECM execution and strategy, resulting in key business growth and significant cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain ECM strategy to be used internally and externally.
  • Assess capabilities and build business models to justify and expand External Contract Manufacturing services.
  • Partner with PSM and Strategy functions to develop manufacturing and capacity strategies that are consistent with the current and future marketing strategies (short and long term).
  • Work with marketing teams on building operational capabilities for new trends and products.
  • Support quality investigations and non-conformances by providing appropriate product expertise.
  • Support Due Diligence evaluations of potential BD Target organizations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10 plus years of Pharmaceutical (preferred Compounding) industry experience working with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality required.
  • Technical knowledge including: cGMP-Regulations and Regulatory Affairs, Quality Control and Assurance, and Operations.
  • Ability to develop and manage partnerships.
  • Ability to drive and sustain transformational change.
