Job Description

The Global Purchasing Organization is responsible for providing agreements with qualified suppliers, including commercial terms. We work closely with internal stakeholders to define requirements in quality and quantity of products and services. Our goal is to identify and partner with innovative, high-quality, and reliable supply partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute category-related supplier management and sourcing activities to maximize efficiency, cost savings, and reduce liability exposure.
  • Govern the sourcing agreements with suppliers, monitor contract performance metrics, and SLAs.
  • Analyze, manage, and resolve contract-related conflicts between service providers and QIAGEN.
  • Provide escalation and arbitration roles when needed.
  • Execute sourcing decisions for assigned categories on regional and local levels.
  • Performance responsibility for assigned categories, supply base, and contracts, including reporting and communication.
  • Active and adequate support of the global category leader.

This role does not include team management.

Position Requirements

A bachelor's degree in economics, trade, logistics, or a related field is required. Minimum 5-7 years of procurement experience, preferably in indirect materials, is also necessary. Previous experience working in regulated environments is an advantage. Very good communication skills in English and Polish are required, as well as a good technical understanding of facility management and/or production/laboratory equipment. SRM knowledge, SAP preferable.

Estimated Salary Range: €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
