We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Director to join our Shared Service Centre in Warsaw and contribute to establishing best-in-class service.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be part of a finance team focusing on delivering operational excellence to our locations in Asia. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in the transition process for global entities, stabilizing the team and processes. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the smooth running of accounting processes to provide exceptional service.
- Reporting key performance indicators (KPIs), process changes, and work effects to the Finance Lead.
- Coordinating and supervising tasks related to accounting processes, fostering effective collaboration with other departments.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the business environment in India, including awareness of relevant accounting specifics.
- Leading the preparation and supervision of transition activities to SSC in Warsaw.
- Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills, effectively interacting with people across cultures.
- Maintaining process quality by implementing effective issue solutions.
- Ensuring continuity of processes by setting priorities aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with specified accounting policies and internal/external regulations.
- Assigning and monitoring tasks performed by team members.
- Motivating and supporting subordinates in achieving set goals, employee development, and continuous improvement.
- Managing day-to-day activities and work distribution within the team.
- Maintaining accurate accounting policies and SOP procedures.
- Participating in new transition projects and working towards team stabilization.
- Supporting accounting-related projects and GBS Strategy.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in Accounting (AP/AR/RTR).
- Strong knowledge of SAP FI module is essential.
- Experience in leading Accounting Transitions from/to India is advantageous.
- Able to coach people, promote teamwork, set examples, and provide/solicit feedback.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong analytical background.
- Proactive and able to take initiative.
- Innovative and open-minded.
- Will consider traveling to Asian locations.
- Excellent command of English with good communication skills; knowledge of Hindi is beneficial.
