Job Description:

As a key member of the finance team at Arrow Electronics, Inc., the General Ledger Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling and managing the General Ledger for the assigned Arrow companies, including completing month-end financial close procedures, preparing internal reports, and facilitating restructuring accounting and control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control and manage the accuracy of General Ledger for the assigned Arrow companies.
  • Complete all relevant month-end financial close procedures, including necessary accruals and prepayments activities.
  • Prepare and be responsible for all necessary internal reporting required within Europe and to US head office.
  • Facilitate and manage the fixed asset register, liaising with the accounts payable clerks and other business areas where required.
  • Support and be involved with all audit work.
  • Prepare any necessary variance analysis for all the above.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in all-round accounting.
  • Very good knowledge of general accounting and reporting processes.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Good command of French is nice to have.
  • Experience with making accrual, prepaid, VAT, balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
  • Results-driven person who can work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
