We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at KDR Human Resources Consulting. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in big data processing and cloud technologies, with a strong background in PySpark, Python, and SQL. They will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data architectures on Azure, leveraging services like Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Factory.

Responsibilities
  • Data Architecture Design: Lead the development of scalable and resilient data architectures on Azure, utilizing services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Tool Evaluation and Implementation: Assess and implement new tools and technologies to enhance data processing capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Complex Data Pipelines Development: Develop and optimize complex data pipelines using PySpark and Azure Databricks, driving efficiency and accuracy in data processing.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers, promoting best practices and high-quality code.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, driving continuous innovation and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in big data processing and cloud technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in PySpark, Python, and SQL, as well as extensive experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Databricks, Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Linguistic Proficiency: English language proficiency minimum B2+

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000-$150,000, depending on qualifications and location. We offer a hybrid model with 3 days per week working from our office in Krakow, Poland, and 2 days per week working remotely.
