This position involves working as an IT Support specialist, providing hands-on support, managing hardware and software installations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
To succeed in this role, you need a combination of solid understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, troubleshooting, and strong communication skills. The work is very independent and team-intensive at the same time, as you communicate with business stakeholders, supplier counterparts, team members from other functions, and teams to get common understanding about requirements and a solution to be provided.
The IT Support specialist reports to the Regional Delivery Manager and is responsible for frequent travel to our second office location in Gdynia.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support, on-site and remotely, to MacGregor's end-users, covering a wide range of IT issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and company-specific applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and service requests, escalating complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications, computer hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning optimally.
- Assist with the onboarding of new employees, providing IT orientation, and setting up their workstations.
- Maintain accurate records of IT support activities, including incident reports, service requests, and inventory management.
- Ensure that global policies and procedures are in place and followed.
- We expect you to have an attitude of 'I am here to help you' and being a 'hands-on' person.
- An experienced team player with broad technical IT knowledge and support experience.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, key for success.
