Financial Controller - Strategic Financial Steering
You have the opportunity to bridge the gap between the Finance Transformation Program FTP strategy and its implementation. This role focuses on connecting strategic financial steering with implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement and generate valuable insights.
- Develop a strong understanding of controlling and financial steering best practices, particularly in KPI selection, cash flow management, and reporting.
- Build credibility and professionally interact with Top Management of the group to understand their needs and effectively support their work.
- Work within an agile, self-organised project environment and possess a self-motivated mindset.
- Apply strong analytical skills and an unbiased approach to tasks.
- Have a good understanding of finance analytic and data visualisation techniques.
- Communicate and present effectively in a multicultural, multi-location, and senior environment.
- Have a very good command of English and proficiency in German or other languages is considered a plus.
- Possess a Master's degree in an applied science, ideally in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics, though degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, or IT are also acceptable.
- Have several years of working experience in a Controlling Line Function or Consulting role, preferably with significant involvement in discussions with Top Management.
- Act as a liaison between the FTP strategy developed in 2023 and its subsequent implementation.
- Comprehend and integrate the steering philosophy from Corporate Controlling and Top Management of LHG and BU.
- Create a future steering logic and roadmap, also known as an information plan, which includes the Group Steering Approach with Top KPIs, cash flow reporting and forecasting concepts, and managerial airline profit and loss statements.
- Derive and align requirements with business stakeholders and related FTP modules, such as Data and Structures.
- Analyse the interfaces and dependencies between controlling and accounting processes and data, assessing their implications for solution design and implementation.
- Oversee the implementation of interim solutions for the defined steering logic within the current finance IT environment, while also initiating the full-scope realisation with FTP.
