Accounting and Financial Expertise

As a Senior Accountant at Ecolab, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. Your expertise in accounting and finance will be essential in supporting our operations in Europe, with a focus on SAP and US-GAAP compliance. You will work closely with our Global Business Services (GBS) team and other functions to ensure seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounts using SAP and reporting in accordance with US-GAAP and Swiss statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with GBS and other COE's and functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to coding, payments, reconciliations, and manual journal entries.
  • Act as liaison for internal and external audits, preparing back-up documentation and proactively following up on requests.
  • Lead/Support financial projects and initiatives.
  • Calculate and record income, capital, and deferred taxes on a quarterly basis.
  • Prepare and follow up on withholding tax reimbursement requests.
  • Timely and accurate preparation and submission of all corporate Tax reports.
  • Support tax audits.

Requirements:
  • 3-7 years' experience in international accounting, finance, and/or tax, ideally with large MNE or 'big 4 audit' companies.
  • Solid analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, work efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Excel and SAP.
  • Positive, open-minded, and proactive attitude.
  • Good English written and verbal skills. German skills would be an advantage.
