About the Role

As a Technical Support Specialist at Verifone, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional technical support services to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to manage customer technical accounts and provide high-level support that goes beyond traditional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and troubleshoot software issues in embedded systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and R&D teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain test or demo applications for various embedded systems.
  • Document descriptions of problems, investigation findings, testing carried out, and solutions in the issue management system.
  • Report new or recurring problems to design departments.
  • Provide product training workshops and scheduled meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Science, or a related field.
  • 2 years of work experience in roles dedicated to SW development or advanced technical support focused on problems related to SW development/integrations of embedded systems.
  • Fluent communication in English and Polish.
  • Experience in C/C++ programming.
  • Practical knowledge of C++ STL, XML, UML, and TCP/IP protocols family.
  • Analytical skills focused on quality and timely delivery, and open to learning new technologies.
  • Ability to track and resolve multiple concurrent projects over a period of time, with a sense of urgency and efficiency.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers verbally and in writing.
  • Flexibility in daily activities and occasional travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting/deploying mobile telecommunication systems and ability to troubleshoot and reproduce issues related to mobile networks.
  • Knowledge of Android and Linux on embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of any active payment terminal platform and understanding of card payment industry principles could be an advantage.
