About the Role:

ING is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Wholesale Banking Leader to take on the role of Country Sector Head for Poland. As a key member of our Wholesale Banking team, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance, revenue growth, and business expansion in Poland.

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute a country sector strategy aligned with ING's overall Wholesale Banking strategy, focusing on delivering business objectives and strengthening commercial performance within risk appetite.
  • Locally lead ABCD EMEA revenues and economic income, ensuring profitable growth and market competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executive clients across various industries, leveraging the network across functions, countries, and products to drive business opportunities.
  • Manage the Dynamic Plan, emphasizing profitable growth in line with strategic objectives.
  • Identify and pursue long-term growth opportunities, setting plans to differentiate the customer value proposition versus competitors.
  • Closely work with regional Sector Coverage heads, functional heads, stakeholders in Risk (including non-financial), and Products to implement the country sector business strategy.
  • Develop senior-level relationships with varied businesses, investment firms, governments, and financial institutions.
  • Collaborate with each team head to increase profitability, returns, and cross-buy opportunities.
  • Represent ING externally, providing thought leadership and maintaining a robust risk culture and performance of the sectors within the region.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the Wholesale Banking market and extensive knowledge of Wholesale Banking products and Risk management.
  • 15-20 years' experience in the financial industry, preferably with international exposure.
  • Proven track record of steering an end-to-end organization, with a focus on commercial acumen and execution.
  • Wealth of deal/transaction experience, market participant knowledge, and ability to assist in winning new business.
  • Highly experienced in complex stakeholder management, regulatory requirements, and risks (financial & non-financial).

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is 120,000 - 180,000 PLN per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
