The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of engineering projects at Imagination. This role involves collaborating with project management, engineering teams, and customers to ensure timely and effective project execution.

You will:

  • Be responsible for the delivery of Imagination's engineering projects, including IP development for integrated circuits, graphics drivers, and other complex technologies.
  • Coordinate technical decisions, participating in discussions to ensure informed and timely decision-making.
  • Work closely with Technical Leads, Engineering Managers, and Programme Managers to develop mitigations for scheduling, scope, and resourcing issues.
  • Provide leadership and coordinate the work of technical teams, including electronics engineers and software engineers.
  • Identify and diagnose project technical risks and issues, guiding solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Track project deadlines and communicate project status to programme teams.
  • Create and manage project plans, ensuring delivery of products meeting technical quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Protect the team from over-pressure and conflicting priorities, escalating issues to the Programme Manager when necessary.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure they meet engineering goals and contractual commitments.
  • Conduct regular calls with customers, documenting minutes and follow-up actions.

About You

We seek a committed and solutions-oriented individual with significant experience in technical project management, particularly in complex technical development environments.

You will have:

  • Significant experience in technical project management, including experience in silicon design, system design, or software development.
  • The ability to understand technical knowledge and ask relevant questions to obtain necessary information.
  • Strong time and task management skills, with experience in managing technical projects.
  • Understanding of engineering development processes and the ability to identify and address technical risks.
  • Experience in presenting to senior management and a proven track record of delivering results.
