JetBrains relies on a number of internal applications to fulfill essential company requirements. The Business Applications Development team develops and supports our own CRM system, the JetBrains Account portal, License Vault, and many other services, including the licensing and billing of our products.
We are currently looking for an experienced Support Engineer to join the team and strengthen and support our efforts.
In this role, you will:
- Collect feedback from internal and external users of our applications and services.
- Seek to understand problems and then reproduce, localize, and describe them before passing them on to developers.
- Work with and maintain our internal knowledge base.
- Analyze new feature requests from users.
- Perform testing for research purposes.
We'll be happy to have you on our team if you:
- Have at least 2 years of experience in supporting web application and cloud service users.
- Can explain complicated things simply and solve problems of varying difficulties.
- Are capable of working effectively without having to be micromanaged.
- Have good written and spoken English.
- Are keen on helping our users.
We'll be especially thrilled if you:
- Have experience in testing web applications, cloud services, and other complicated products.
- Understand how web applications work.
- Have good knowledge of SQL.
- Are experienced in administering different operating systems.
How we work:
We write our code in Kotlin. Our system consists of several web applications and an infrastructure supporting them. We have our own ORM and MVC, and our code is designed for serving high production loads. The team is distributed.
