Category Buyer - Machinery & Equipment ​- fixed term contract

Aptiv is currently seeking a M&E Category Buyer to be part of its Europe Sourcing Tactical team. This individual will work closely with the global category team and stakeholders to support sourcing requirements of up to $250K. Key responsibilities will include running RFx, commercial and contractual negotiation of M&E, supporting, execution of category strategy for items within the threshold, and for savings generation for M&E category. Successful candidate will be required to have a good understanding of procurement process.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities related to the acquisition of Machinery & Equipments (Assembly and Test; Wiring Processing: SMT Dispense Routing ICT; Stamping Machining Laser, IMMS and Molds)

• Negotiation of agreements while ensure compliance to corporate governance requirements.

• Running of RFx activities

• Problem solving relating to third parties raised by business or by third parties themselves

Requirements:

• Previous experience in sourcing Machinery & Equipment or similar

• Good negotiation skills

• Good understanding of this category

• Strong relationship and interpersonal skills to be applied in working with partners across the entire contract life cycle

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced matrixed environment

• Strong organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving skills

• Highly driven and motivated

• Good communication skills and fluent with English language
