Fixed Assets Specialist

Job Description
A Fixed Assets Specialist in an accounting team will be primarily responsible for the accurate tracking, recording, reconciling and reporting of a company's tangible long-term assets, such as property, plant, and equipment (P&E). The person will be fully responsible for accounting and reconciling 4 fixed assets books including 3 accounting books (US GAAP, IFRS and Local GAAP) and 1 tax book. Additionally, this role will be highly involved into new legal requirement JPK_ST_KR implementation project.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end process management of the company's fixed assets and capital expenditures, with a strong focus on:

• Multi-Standard Fixed Assets Management
• Maintaining and reconciling three asset registers: Statutory, Group (US GAAP), and Tax.
• Determining depreciation rates, preparing depreciation plans
• Controlling E2E asset flow: acquisition, reclassification, disposal etc.
• General Accounting & Reporting
• Booking entries, performing General Ledger accounts reconciliations, assisting in the preparation of tax returns
• Preparing reports and analyses concerning fixed assets for both external and internal purposes
• External Cooperation & Control
• Coordination and communication with the external auditor regarding fixed assets documentation, processes, and balances
• Liaising with and supervising the work of the external accounting service provider concerning fixed assets processes and control of their deliverables
• Involvement in Projects
• Active participation in project related to the implementation of Polish income tax reporting, specifically JPK_ST_KR
• Involvement in project related to the change in Group accounting standards from US GAAP to IFRS, focusing on fixed assets impact

Qualifications

• Education: Higher education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Experience: Minimum 3 years' Experience working with fixed assets in Accounting Department, Accounting SSC, or an Accounting Office.
• Language Skills: Very good knowledge of English and fluent in Polish – a mandatory requirement
• Accounting Knowledge: Good understanding of accounting principles
• Skills: Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
• Attitude: Collaborative attitude with a solution-finding approach.
