Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team in Krakow. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of advanced Python-based modelling solutions and containerised solutions for the company's Global Treasury division.

Position Overview

You will play a crucial role in building and implementing Global Treasury Python-based modelling solutions and containerised solutions. You will work closely with tech leads, business stakeholders, Quantitative Analysts, and IT to create synergies across different functions and departments, contributing to the end-to-end design and planning of these solutions. Your expertise will ensure that the developed software strategically addresses evolving business and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement Global Treasury Python-based modelling solutions
  • Support the development and implementation of Global Treasury containerised solutions and CI/CD automations
  • Deliver a coding environment that is easy to use, robust, and fully reusable
  • Provide automated solutions for fast and agile model build and deployment
  • Collaborate with tech leads, business stakeholders, Quantitative Analysts, and IT to create synergies across different functions and departments
  • Implement software strategically, following best practices to ensure solutions address evolving business and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with the Head of Financial Engineering to ensure smooth change management and maintenance of the system in compliance with company standards
  • Collaborate with Quantitative Analytics teams to build software solutions that are practical, workable, and comply with accounting, regulatory, and other requirements

Requirements

  • Strong experience in backend development of large-scale applications and systems in Python, especially for cloud environments
  • Experience in building and maintaining containerised solutions and CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end automations on cloud-based platforms (GCP, Docker)
  • Proficiency in at least three of the following: Python, FastAPI, Apache Airflow, S3, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker
  • Experience in writing technical documentation and test-driven development
  • Knowledge of finance, particularly quantitative finance, risk, or analytics is a plus
  • Minimum of 3+ years of related experience
