About the Role

The Platform Engineering Leader is responsible for three key engineering teams (total of ca. 24 people)

Developer Productivity / Tooling Team (Cracow)

  • Builds and maintains standardized DevSecOps toolchains, including CI/CD pipelines and all related components.

Platform Engineering Team (Cracow)

  • Core platform engineering function responsible for building platform capabilities and internal developer enablement.

Production Engineering (Platform Ops) (Bangalore)

  • Ensures reliability, deployments, and production readiness.

What You'll Do / Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor platform engineers building core automation, CI/CD, and private-cloud solutions.
  • Define and deliver a clear platform roadmap that improves speed, reliability, and developer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and compliant platform patterns.
  • Champion operational excellence — ensuring performance, observability, and lifecycle management.
  • Use data and feedback (e.g. DORA metrics, adoption rates, satisfaction) to guide continuous improvement.
  • Foster an environment where engineers experiment, learn, and deliver tangible impact.

What You'll Bring / Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience managing on-prem platforms/private infrastructures.
  • Experience managing teams, and ideally, people's leaders.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of automation, CI/CD, configuration management, and Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS).
  • Experience designing or evolving private-cloud infrastructure patterns and developer enablement platforms.
  • Understanding of secure software delivery, compliance, and risk management.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills — able to connect strategy, technology, and execution.
  • A passion for developer experience, continuous improvement, and high-quality engineering outcomes.

Desirable

  • Experience in fintech or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with developer portals (e.g. Backstage) and platform product management practices.
  • Knowledge of DORA metrics, observability tools, and engineering effectiveness frameworks.
