WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

The Metadata Extraction team at Box is responsible for turning unstructured content, documents, images, audio, and video, into structured, actionable information. Our AI-powered Extract Agents and OCR platform enable intelligent search, document understanding, and workflow automation across the enterprise.

As a Senior Product Manager, AI Platform, you will lead the strategy and execution of Box's AI extraction platform, focusing on OCR, metadata extraction, and the Extract Agents API. You will work closely with engineers, AI researchers, and internal product teams to translate cutting-edge AI concepts into scalable, production-ready capabilities. Your work will directly influence how Box unlocks the value hidden in unstructured content for millions of users worldwide.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the AI extraction platform, aligning capabilities with Box's broader AI and enterprise content objectives.Partner with engineering leads across Poland and the US to prioritize initiatives, manage trade-offs, and ensure high-quality delivery.Collaborate with internal product teams (Search, Q&A, Automation) to integrate and scale platform capabilities across Box.Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering to launch, adoption, and iteration.Work with internal and external stakeholders to define and track AI performance metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score) and model evaluation processes.Advocate for API design and developer experience, ensuring the platform is intuitive, consistent, and extensible.Balance short-term delivery with long-term investments, such as scaling the OCR engine, extending Extract Agents capabilities, and strengthening integration with Box's AI Platform.

WHO YOU ARE

5+ years of product management experience, ideally in AI platform, developer-facing products, or infrastructure.Solid technical understanding of AI and ML fundamentals, particularly around LLMs, OCR, and document understanding.Hands-on experience with API-driven products and collaborating closely with engineering teams.Comfortable defining AI evaluation metrics and interpreting model performance.Strategic thinker with the ability to balance technical depth with business value.Strong communicator, able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.Experience in document AI, computer vision, or AI infrastructure is a plus.Familiarity with developer platforms, dataset annotation pipelines, or model evaluation workflows is desirable.

Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week, focusing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
