The Financial Risk Team manages IG Group's credit, market, capital and liquidity risk profiles end-to-end. We design, develop and deploy risk models to set policy, enforce it and report to key committees including the Board Risk Committee. Within the Financial Risk Team, we are currently building a Krakow-based Operations sub-team owning day-to-day controls and monitoring, with significant exposure to senior management and close collaboration with Credit Operations, Dealing and Premium Client Managers.

Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and manage complex corporate and institution accounts while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

By identifying risks and supporting their resolution you will help maintain operational excellence and foster strong relationships across departments, including sales and compliance teams. Your role is integral to driving high standards in process efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory alignment.

• We need someone who won't just follow processes but will actively improve and optimise them. You will:

• Drive continuous monitoring and controls whilst identifying opportunities for enhancement
• Update market risk limits
• Maintain leverage restrictions
• Implement margin changes and develop proposals for preferential margin terms
• Monitor large exposures, proactively flagging concerns
• Partner assertively with commercial teams, balancing risk vs reward in decision-making
• Manage multiple priorities independently whilst maintaining high standards

Key Qualification Requirements:

• Solid understanding of IG Group's business model and product suite
• Basic understanding of credit and market risk
• Proactive mindset – constantly seeking to improve and optimise processes
• Assertiveness to challenge stakeholders and uphold risk standards
• Ability to see the bigger picture and connect information quickly
• Self-starter who can work autonomously whilst knowing when to escalate
• Understanding risk-reward dynamics to support informed decisions
