Job Description

Lead an experienced team of actuaries and other insurance professionalsManage the P&L within the whole actuarial areaLead business development activitiesSupport the development of tools to support actuarial and computational processesActively participate in insurance projects, particularly those related to the implementation of IFRS17, including gap analysis, methodology development, review of actuarial models and optimisation of actuarial processes and modelsCoordinate with various departments within the business to ensure alignment of objectivesMake decisions on complex actuarial issues involving financial and development aspectsLead product development and support workstreams and projectsEnsure effective management of issues and project risksPrioritise tasks while providing direction and motivation to team members

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Actuarial, Financial engineering, Business, Economics, Statistics or related relevant degree courseActuarial licencseSeveral years of experience in actuarial work in the position of Head of/Director/PartnerKnowledge of product pricing, determination of technical reserves, calculations related to Embedded Value and Solvency II, reinsurance calculations, actuarial modeling and related tasksDocumented experience in managing an actuarial teamAbility to effectively lead a team with diverse experiences and skillsExcellent communication skills in English and PolishEffective relationship building with clients both internally and externallyFocused on achieving results and supporting business growth through experience in business developmentKnowledge and experience in creating or validating mathematical reserves and Solvency IIFamiliarity with IFRS 17 standards and approaches to insurance product pricingKnowledge of ML/AI techniques, open-source programming tools and Prophet would be a plus
