The Role
As a Payroll & Benefits Operations Specialist with proficiency in English, you will deliver expert payroll and benefits services to the Line of Business (LoB) in the EMEA region. One aspect of your role will involve engaging in the implementation and integration of Time and Attendance systems, including shift planning. Your responsibilities will include ensuring seamless integrations to support operational objectives, and acting as a backup process owner to ensure precise and timely salary payments to Novo Nordisk employees.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and integrate Time and Attendance systems
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes for designated countries
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including payroll providers
- Address payroll queries from HR and/or employees
- Administer local benefits as needed
- Enhance payroll operational processes in alignment with PBO Team objectives
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you must possess an understanding of cultural nuances. Strong communication skills, change management abilities, and exceptional stakeholder management in an international context are essential. A customer-centric approach, solid business acumen, focus on operational excellence, and meeting KPIs are also vital. Dependability, attention to detail, and sensitivity to the data's confidentiality that you handle daily are critical, as this data directly impacts employees' lives.
We are seeking individuals with:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in large-scale organization payroll processing
- Proven expertise in coordinating and implementing Time and Attendance systems and Shift Planning modules
- Preference for experience in a shared service center
- Familiarity with Irish Payroll; knowledge of payroll practices and regulations in other EMEA countries is a plus
- Proficiency in timekeeping systems and payroll processes
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as SAP, Employee Central, and strong command of MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Time and Attendance systems like Kronos, SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking, Workforce Software, and other relevant platforms
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Fluency in written and verbal English, along with proficiency in an additional language
- Integrity, collaborative mindset, readiness to travel, and effective task planning and prioritization
On a personal level, you should possess strong analytical skills to lead process standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About the Team
The EMEA Regional Service Centre (RSC EMEA) operates alongside the Business Area office for Europe East, the Polish affiliate, DD&IT department, and Clinical Development Centre (CDC). With an annual sales budget exceeding 700 million DKK, the company aims to enhance the quality of patients' lives and introduce innovation to the markets.
The RSC EMEA comprises two departments - AskHR (HR administration and employee support) and Payroll, Development & Operations (PBO, project and systems management). The PBO payroll department provides payroll and benefits assistance to countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and the UK.
