Your New Role...

Join Warner Bros. Discovery as the proactive EMEA Payroll Operations Manager within the Global Business Services People and Culture Shared Services Payroll Operations Department. In this role, you will oversee payroll operations in the EMEA region, implementing top practices, driving automation, standardizing processes, and enhancing controls to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include coaching the payroll team and leading special projects to uphold payroll excellence. Your Role Accountabilities...

International PayrollOperations Execution:

  • Directing day-to-day operations for one of the EMEA payroll functions.
  • Establishing and maintaining procedures for accurate and timely payroll processing in the EMEA region.
  • Ensuring precise and punctual payroll service delivery aligned with service level agreements.
  • Managing relationships with payroll vendor(s) across EMEA.

Leadership:

  • Building and nurturing a proficient payroll operations team.
  • Mentoring and guiding staff for individual and team excellence, focusing on customer service and operational brilliance.

Compliance and Point of Contact:

  • Serving as the main contact for the outsourced payroll service provider.
  • Ensuring compliance with payroll calendars for each country.
  • Acting as the point of contact for international payroll operations and addressing payroll-related inquiries.
  • Resolving payroll inquiries from multiple parties and managing ticket requests efficiently.

Analysis and Documentation:

  • Collecting, analyzing, and documenting payroll and fiscal issues to identify systemic challenges.
  • Identifying opportunities and contributing to enhancing payroll procedures continually.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Working closely with Legal, Finance, and HR to ensure payroll compliance.
  • Providing global payroll reporting services to various departments as needed.
  • Supporting internal audits and preparing materials for auditors.

Reporting and Data Analysis:

  • Regularly compiling statistics and reports, including ad hoc requests and Year-end reporting.
  • Conducting data analysis through reports and Excel functions for insightful outcomes.

Testing and Special Projects:

  • Participating in testing payroll systems and enhancements.
  • Contributing to special projects when required.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • Experience: Previous management experience in payroll operations supporting EMEA markets is essential.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Payroll certification is a bonus.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is a must.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Workday HR/Safeguard payroll or similar payroll tools required. Knowledge of Microsoft tools, especially MS Excel, is essential.
  • Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building and maintaining effective collaborations.
  • Process Management: In-depth knowledge of payroll practices and statutory requirements for EMEA.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent planning, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
