Opportunity: An exciting chance has emerged to join a newly established In Vivo Department in Kraków as a Scientist, due to the growth of Selvita's Animal Facility. In this role, you'll be part of a dynamic in vivo team focused on oncology projects, where you can apply your expertise to contribute to the department's development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and conducting experiments, including mice handling, injections, and data collection.
  • Designing disease-relevant in vivo models.
  • Leading in vivo studies for pre-clinical projects.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.
  • Preparing scientific reports and documents for ethical committees.
  • Operating diagnostic and imaging equipment.
  • Monitoring animal welfare and health, ensuring all care requirements are met.
  • Performing necropsies and tissue collections.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues and supporting drug discovery projects.
  • Ensuring care for animals even on weekends if required.

Your Background:

  • Higher education in Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields.
  • Practical in vivo experience, preferably in oncology.
  • Good command of English.
  • Certification in animal procedures and care compliant with regulations.
  • Strong team player with excellent organizational skills.
  • High ethical standards and understanding of statistical methods.
  • No allergies to rodents.
