Group Procurement establishes guidelines, rules, and policies for procurement at Bauer Media Group, providing services to all business areas and units by negotiating contracts and running requests for quotations.

The team, based in Hamburg and Peterborough, is looking to expand its operations into Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Implement professional procurement processes and procedures across Poland.
  • Own the procurement business case, identify and train necessary resources, and lead all project management activities.
  • Provide insightful procurement leadership, upskill existing staff, and attract new talent.
  • Measure procurement performance with KPIs and establish performance dialogues.
  • Develop relations with internal stakeholders, lead supplier negotiations, and improve processes and standards.
  • Communicate effectively on procurement topics and respond to urgent issues.
  • Monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and identify cost-saving initiatives.
  • Identify risks and issues, create action plans, and oversee execution.

Your Profile:

Work Experience:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
  • Over 7 years of experience leading procurement teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of market conditions and procurement practices.
  • Proven experience in contract management and negotiation.
  • Procurement and Project Management qualifications.

  • Professional, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Adaptable to change and resourceful.

Social Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Polish and English.
  • Relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and guide stakeholders.

  • Adept at leading teams in uncertain environments.
  • Experienced in change management and motivating team members.
  • Proven track record in leadership and development.
