Summary:

Andersen, an IT company, is looking for an IT Service Operations Specialist to join a major project for a UK-based customer. This customer is a unique bank established in 2016, focusing on underserved market segments by providing innovative products without upfront investments.

The project aims to develop cutting-edge banking technology with top-notch flexibility for clients, particularly emphasizing consumer account processing infrastructure for account events and financial computations.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as an Incident Management expert within ITIL to prevent recurring major incidents.
  • Developing, maintaining, and testing incident management procedures with service owners.
  • Investigating and resolving escalated, non-routine incidents effectively.
  • Documenting resolved incidents, analyzing causes, and reporting on incident management performance.
  • Escalating incidents to stakeholders, proposing recovery actions and workarounds.
  • Ensuring timely response to service requests and incidents across multiple channels.
  • Executing releases and escalating lower severity incidents when necessary.
  • Communicating efficiently about service events and managing recovery for priority incidents.
  • Contributing to Continuous Service Improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements.
  • Reviewing and approving changes to protect production environments.
  • Generating accurate KPIs, incident logs, and maintaining detailed ticket actions.
  • Participating in the out-of-hours support rotation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Service Operations.
  • ITIL certification or proven experience in an ITIL aligned environment.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Javascript, T-SQL).
  • Experience in software release management techniques.
  • Strong experience in Incident Management best practices to minimize service disruptions effectively.
  • Familiarity with Problem Management techniques and Service Management tools.
  • Demonstrable skills in Incident and problem management, IT Security, and compliance.
  • Good understanding of technical disciplines such as Networks, Applications, Servers.
