The objective of Operational Resilience is to protect our people, customers and brand by sustaining critical customer services at acceptable levels while responding to expected and unexpected disruptions and adapting to changes in our operating environment. This position is associated with the discipline of Business Continuity Management (BCM). This discipline enable AXA XL to build and maintain appropriate levels of resilience and readiness within our core business functions and their critical services and ensures regulatory and AXA Group compliance.

This position is responsible for managing various activities associated with the execution of our Business Continuity Management planning aspects. Specifically, this includes the planning, execution and governance over risk assessments, business impact analyses, business continuity plans, third parties and execution of various exercising activities. In this second line of defenseresponsibility, the position supports the business and transversal functions locally, regionally and/or globally.

This position is also responsible to manage the Operational Resilience toolset, data repositories and dashboards/reports and supports the execution of repeatable processes that contribute to the success of the overall program.

This position is responsible to ensure/support the development & testing of all strategies included in Business Continuity plans. This position is expected to build a strong relationship with other functions within Security but also with Procurement and the Third Party Risk Management team.

Specialist have the capability, experience and skills to take on challenging assignments that require a structured approach and ability to manage the involved senior stakeholders effectively. Specialist can execute the assigned responsibilities self-dependently and take ownership of their assigned program components as per the annual strategic plan.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• A substantial part of the responsibilities includes the management and execution of the annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) refresh cycle. This data gathering, update of respective documents and data sets and execution of associated exercises is conducted across 75+ business functions and requires an agile and professional approach to manage the senior executive stakeholders involved in the process
• Ensure during yearly BIA Campaign that dependencies with other internal function, ICT (Information and Communication Technology) assets , applications and vendors are fully reviewed and tested
• Manage the development, implementation and administration of Operational Resilience methodologies and tools (e.g., BIA&BCP platform, emergency communications tool, crisis management collaboration tool, Sharepoint repositories and sites, PowerBI dashboards and automation)
• Develop and maintain aligned BCPs that include business process relevant planning aspects and manage the planning and execution of targeted BCP exercises as component tests, including third parties strategies tests, or part of larger interconnected exercises,
• Assist in the development and implementation of Operational Resilience methodologies and tools

You will work closely with Operational Resilience team members from Poland, France, India and the USA. This function reports to the BCM Senior Lead, Operational Resilience, based in France.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

• University Graduate/Post Graduate with experience in Insurance, Reinsurance, Financial or Professional Services Industry
• Good understanding of the general Re/Insurance industry and key business processes
• Advanced Operational Resilience / Business Continuity Management or strongly related experience
• Professional BCM certification preferred (e.g., from BCI or DRII)
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, professional level in spoken and written English language, proven track record of interacting with senior management
• Track record on strong presentation and facilitation skills - especially the facilitation of trainings, workshop meetings, scenario exercises
• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously, involving advanced project and self-management skills
• Delivery and solution-oriented personality with excellence in serving clients/stakeholders
• Passion and skills for developing professional reports and visualized presentation material that engages the audience (e.g. working with graphics, charts, layout components, movies, dynamic presentations, etc.)
• Ability to travel up to 15% to domestic and international locations
• Flexibility to respond to disasters or business interruption events through remote support
