Treasury Analyst

The Group Treasury team are responsible for providing solid cash management & reporting for the Group. The Treasury Analyst will support the Treasury Director in all aspects of the day-to-day cash & liquidity management for the Planet Group.
The person will support the Treasury Director in carrying out the daily and monthly responsibilities of the Treasury function such as daily cash report and weekly 13-week cash forecast. Prepare monthly reconciliations and assist in the preparation of reports and ongoing projects, as well as ad hoc requests.
It is essential that the individual provide a consistent, high level of service in line with our company policies and procedures reflecting our corporate values and behaviours.
What you will do:
Responsible for the daily cash management operation and preparation of daily bank reports, including commentary on movements in cash positions to Senior Management.
Ensure the weekly cash forecasts are updated every week and provide analysis from actual to forecast and identify areas of improvement.
Ensure all markets are adequately funded on a daily basis and bank account balances are optimised, ensure funding is in place for subsidiaries.
Assist the Treasury Director in improving current bank operations and pooling arrangements through effective management and governance of group bank accounts.
Ensure proper control and segregation of duties across all banks, particularly in new markets, and that bank accounts operate in line with the Group's banking policy.
Support on bank account openings and KYC obligations as and when required.
Manage administration of eBanking platforms following important controls and ongoing maintenance and updating of group bank account register.
Assist in the preparation of the monthly refunding reports, including commentary on movements to Senior Management
Support the Treasury Director on various projects required to improve working capital and liquidity.
Support Treasury Director to develop cash management structures to lead the centralisation of liquidity from group companies.
Support risk and control processes, including the development of new treasury policies, ensuring full compliance, and reviewing existing processes to implement improvements.
Assist the internal and external audit processes as they pertain to the treasury function.
Support management of the Group's intercompany loans, working with the Group Tax team.
Participate in the Company's Performance Management System and fully comply with all policies, procedures, reporting systems, and company values.
Support Treasury Director to manage Foreign Exchange risk
Who you are:
The successful candidate will have relevant treasury experience in an international organisation for cash management and forecasting, banking administration and foreign exchange.
The individual will need to demonstrate drive, curiosity, an ability to work from his or her own initiative and an attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
Ability to resolve issues and propose solutions to issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.
Experience in cash management
Credit Card Industry, Processing/Acquiring Bank or ISO accounting experience a plus.
Ability to focus on multiple tasks while meeting all internal and public company deadlines.
Excellent IT skills, including Windows, PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills, which are a key requirement.
Willing and capable of taking on responsibility. Must be able to make decisions.
Proven initiative and common sense.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to self-motivate and self-prioritise with minimal supervision.
Ability to work with and build good relationships with other teams within across the Finance function.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
