What you'll be doing:

As the Head of Global Procurement for Contract Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic sourcing and procurement activities for Avon. This leadership position involves overseeing the end-to-end procurement process for contract manufacturing, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of finished product.

Key responsibilities:

Developing and implementing global procurement strategies for contract manufacturing to ensure alignment with company objectives and following decisions on 'Make or Buy' to drive cost-effectiveness for externally manufactured products. Identifying, evaluating, and selecting strategic suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, sustainability, and innovation. Leading the Contract Manufacture Strategy for new Avon cluster formation and drives strategy that meets the cluster needs, finding synergies where possible Collaborating closely with Marketing team to understand and deliver on their needs and portfolio gaps Working closely with R&D to work with suppliers in an agile approach making sure that we are an attractive customer Leading contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while mitigating risks. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Ensuring we have a pipeline of innovation on Buy products Driving cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or compliance. Implementing and managing cost tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor and report on procurement performance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that suppliers meet and exceed quality standards and compliance requirements. Embedding Avon Sustainability targets in Human Rights, Carbon and Critical Materials Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate and manage those risks effectively. Staying updated on market trends, industry regulations, and geopolitical factors that may impact procurement activities. Part of Procurement LT Marketing & R&D key stakeholders Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing global procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.

Work Experience

Proven experience in procurement and strategic sourcing within the cosmetics or beauty industry, with a focus on contract manufacturing. Global procurement experience, understanding regional and cultural nuances. Familiarity with sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Skills & Competencies required

Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
