You will support the migration and modernization of legacy systems, ensuring business rules, data lineage, and domain models are accurately captured and translated for technical implementation. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, architects, and development teams, you will analyze, document, and communicate requirements while facilitating workshops, backlog grooming, and alignment sessions. Your work will enable secure, efficient, and high-quality delivery of business-critical solutions across multiple platforms.Your main responsibilities:Acting as the primary liaison between business, architects, and development teamsReverse-engineering and documenting business rules from legacy code and TSQLMapping data lineage and translating source data into target domain modelsDefining bounded contexts and supporting domain discovery sessionsEliciting, prioritizing, and translating business needs into BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteriaPerforming impact analysis to support make vs refactor vs replace decisionsMaintaining traceability in Jira/Azure DevOps from requirements to releaseProducing and updating BPMN, sequence/component diagrams, C4/context views, and data flow mapsValidating Definition of Ready/Done and reviewing test scenarios for coverage gapsFacilitating workshops, demos, and stakeholder alignment meetingsYou're ideal for this role if you have:5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT projectsAdvanced SQL expertise and reverse-engineering skillsAbility to read and reason about .NET code and legacy layersStrong process and data modeling skills (BPMN, UML, C4)Experience with domain discovery techniques and DDD practicesFamiliarity with API contracts and integration patternsExperience mapping data lineage and working with metadata/catalog toolsBasic cloud literacy for Azure and understanding operational implicationsUnderstanding of CI/CD concepts and integration into test automationObservability awareness (metrics, logs, tracing) and specifying monitoring requirementsIt is a strong plus if you have:Experience with data catalog/lineage tools (Azure Purview, Collibra)We offer you:ITDS Business Consultants is involved in many various, innovative and professional IT projects for international companies in the financial industry in Europe.
