Role purpose
The Corporate HSSE Lead will be responsible for developing and delivering a health, safety and environmental risk management strategy that enables growth in our Polish businesses while driving compliance with JLL, client and statutory requirements in its Polish operations.
The role will be the Business Unit HSSE Lead for the Markets business, Capital Markets business and Polish Corporate Estate. It will also have a key coordination role with other HSSE Business Leads in Poland.

What this job involves
You’ll report to the Regional HSSE Lead for Central and Eastern Europe but will work closely with the Senior Leadership Teams in Poland, Account Directors and Operations Leads, Client stakeholders, JLL teams including Technical teams, Facilities/Project Managers, Finance and Procurement, Solutions Development and Transitions teams, as well as JLL’s supply chain representatives. You’ll lead the JLL OHS Service in accordance with the Polish Labour Code and local Acts.
Main duties to include the following but are not limited to as other duties may be assigned:
Provide guidance and advice on HSSE management at all levels of the Polish organisations. Assist the development of a HSSE management system, tailored to JLL and client program needs, and implement & maintain the system. Provide guidance to Polish Teams on how to complete competent assessments of all HSSE risks and report on the control of that risk. Assist with, and ensure, the completion of appropriate HSSE documentation including statutory documentation and documentation required by JLL’s Global HSSE Standards, etc. Ensure that all documentation and records of compliance are maintained in accordance with Polish requirements, JLL Global HSSE Standards and client HSSE requirements. Ensure that 3rd party arrangements with external OHS prevention services are established and meeting regulatory needs in other Eastern European countries. Manage a program of site audits and reports. Analyse the results of HSSE performance and make regular reports to the Polish Leadership Teams on risk management performance. Establishing a Polish HSSE Committee, ensuring meetings are held at a regular cadence and ensuring minutes are taken and circulated. Arrange Safety Champions for Corporate Offices in the region. Collate and review accident reports, investigate accidents and make recommendation to prevent reoccurrence. Liaison with the Local Enforcing Authorities as necessary. Provide monthly reports on performance including any accident statistics. Assist the procurement team in accrediting services and goods supply contractors for work in client properties. Liaise with HSSE professionals elsewhere in JLL to ensure common standards of best practice are achieved throughout the Polish business. Provide regular updates and training on key legislative changes that impact the business in Eastern Europe. Secure the development of a positive, proactive HSSE culture at all levels throughout the organization. Support work teams, to secure operational HSSE compliance including developing corporate solutions and initiatives which benefit all business lines in Eastern Europe. Establish effective relationships and work closely and co-operatively with all stakeholders in the region. Participate in cross account auditing for the JLL business. Support new business growth by contributing to solution development, client pitches and delivering the highest standards of service delivery on new transitions. Manage recruitment processes for HSSE professionals to ensure adequate governance arrangements are maintained for the HSSE function. Team management and development for all direct reports. Drive technology/innovation enabled efficiencies and service level improvements. Any other duties deemed appropriate to the role as determined by the Polish Leadership Team and/or the JLL HSSE Leadership Team.Sounds like you? To apply you need to be/have:
Critical Competencies:
Results orientated with a strong focus on the delivery of objectives. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to deal with all people at all organisational levels, internally and externally. Ability to demonstrate initiative and show foresight in relation to existing and potential problems. Computer literate with a knowledge of commonly used software programmes, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to research and produce management information and specialist reports making recommendations as appropriate. Good organisational skills with the ability to balance competing demands and to meet deadlines. Ability to identify trends and identify the root causes of any problems. Ability to carry out an audit and gather objective evidence through observation, interview and sampling of documents and records.Essential Criteria:
A recognised higher degree or post graduate certificate in Occupational health and safety and minimum of 5 years’ experience as required by Polish law for the role of OSH Specialist (OSH Service). Proven history of implementation of environmental, health and safety systems and processes (design and implementation of management systems through to external accreditation). Relevant HSSE experience in a similar environment (Facilities/Project Management, Corporate Real Estate, HSSE Consultancy or other large organisations with multiple business units). Must be willing and able to travel nationally as deemed necessary to fulfil the role. The ability to communicate effectively in Polish and EnglishDesirable Criteria
