Group Procurement sets guidelines, rules, and policies for procurement at Bauer Media Group and provides respective services to all business areas and units of the group by negotiating contracts, running requests for quotations, and providing operative purchasing services as well as supporting all major projects with procurement expertise. Group Procurement consists of teams in Hamburg and Peterborough, and we are now looking to set up a procurement team in Poland.
This role is based in Warsaw, Poland.
Your responsibilities
Introduce and embed professional procurement processes & procedures across Poland and own the procurement business case, identify and train needed resources to establish new procurement routine as well as lead all Procurement project management activities for the own geography. Provide insightful Procurement leadership, devolving the team to become a well-performing unit through upskilling existing staff and attracting new talent for open positions. Measure procurement performance with adequate KPIs (., savings, delivery performance, maverick buying quota) and establish performance dialogues based on these KPIs with the team and main stakeholders. Develop and maintain excellent relations with internal stakeholders and take the lead in supplier negotiations & communications as well as processes and standards to improve S/4HANA. Provide clear concise communication around procurement topics to the business and respond to emergencies or other urgent issues appropriately. Responsible for regularly monitoring supplier's performance, reviews, audits, monthly reporting and escalating / taking appropriate action. Identify and/or take the lead in initiatives that deliver cost saving that will be realised over the short, medium, and long term. Ownership of the procurement business case - identify and train needed resources to establish new procurement routine and develop an appropriate and effective communication plan for each project in the own responsibility. Identify key risks & issues; creates and oversees the execution of action plans to correct issues and minimise risk.Your profile
Work experience
University degree in Business Administration, Economics or equivalent · Knowledgeable in procurement tools and platforms. 7 years + experience in leading and managing a Procurement team as well as Up-to-date knowledge of the market and commercial conditions. Extensive experience working in Procurement, Purchasing, Contract Management and Negotiation. Recognized Procurement Management qualification as well as Project Management Qualification.Personal skills
Strong organisational skills, with a strong eye for detail and pragmatic hands-on approach Enthusiastic, professional, and self-motivating (‘can-do’ attitude) Ability to deal with change, proactive, enquiring, as well as being problem solver and resourcefulSocial skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in the Polish and English language, comfortable presenting Relationship management - building and maintaining key supplier relationships. Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to influence and give guidance to non-procurement stakeholders.Leadership skills
Ability to lead direct and indirect and to lead under uncertain circumstances and in a fast-changing environment as well as develop and motivate the polish Procurement Team Experienced in leading change and transformation projects.
