Role Purpose

The Marketing Manager, CEE plays a key role in supporting the Marketing team to deliver effective brand activation initiatives across a complex product portfolio including grocery, retail and e-retail channels within their dedicated regions. In addition, you will manage the distributors relationship and processes to ensure that the Funko brand is represented and delivered in emerging markets. This role will help the Marketing team contribute to the implementation of brand, channel, and customer strategy. The role works across the organization with a variety of stakeholders (but hand in hand with dedicated Sales Managers based in region) to help achieve desired business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement retail marketing strategies in Asia, Oceania, and distributor accounts across EMEA, focusing on in-store visibility, POS, online merchandising, and trade marketing initiatives to strengthen Funko's relationships with leading customers and reinforce its unique brand proposition.
  2. Lead marketing activities for business priorities and brand launches to enhance brand awareness, share tone of voice, and drive sales in the region.
  3. Manage allocated marketing budgets for regions, making commercial decisions based on clear insight, evaluation, and analysis of campaigns.
  4. Collaborate closely with Sales teams/Account Managers to deliver against strategic growth categories, new product launches, and drive sales with key retail partners through 12-month marketing plans.
  5. Prioritize tasks against tight budgets and timelines while ensuring customer service excellence from end-to-end.
  6. Effectively deliver multiple projects (focusing on priorities) to meet or exceed sales expectations.
  7. Analyze and measure campaign success, providing insights on spend vs. sales and applying learnings to future projects.
  8. Coordinate with Product and Marketing teams to obtain required assets for marketing plans tailored to local requirements.
  9. Work with Digital Marketing Manager to ensure media campaigns are relevant, timely, and drive sales to support key product categories and retail partner sales in the region.
  10. Support PR Manager with market insights to drive trade and consumer coverage.
  11. Demonstrate commercial awareness and treat customer interactions with confidentiality and professionalism.
  12. Cultivate relationships with Licensors:
    1. Supporting new product launches, special events, and collaborative initiatives.
    2. Leading and coordinating joint plans for theatrical and AAA content releases.
    3. Marketing activations informed by commercial decisions based on clear insight, evaluation, and analysis.
  13. Cultivate relationships with retailers:
    1. Supporting bespoke Point of Sale designs, web banners, competitions, and marketing activations based on insight, evaluation, and analysis.
  14. Liaise with samples team for stock allocations and delivery of marketing campaigns.
  15. Promote branding guidelines adhered to across Funko, internally and externally.
  16. Cultivate and manage relationships with key distributor partners, reviewing and approving in-region marketing plans, licensors, and retailer activations, ensuring commercial success within budget.
  17. Explore new retail partnerships and opportunities to drive growth in the CEE market.
  18. Support and attend key trade and consumer shows in the relevant regions.
  19. Assist with ad-hoc admin tasks such as PO generation, store visits, photoshoots, creative brainstorms, and market research.

Requirements:

  1. Fluency in English and local language is essential.
  2. Experience in Marketing and/or Key Account Management in an EMEA capacity.
  3. Demonstrate excellent commercial awareness with a real passion for growing the brand and delivering results.
  4. Effective multi-tasker with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  5. Collaborative approach, ensuring professional relationships are developed and nurtured with both internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Analytical mindset with a personable and flexible approach.
  7. Knowledge of MS Office and other relevant programs such as Illustrator is desirable.
  8. Excellent attention to detail, always mindful of brand reputation when delivering work.
  9. Understanding or interest in pop culture is a must.
