Job Description

The General Ledger Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with hands-on experience in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by recording, reviewing, and reconciling financial transactions, including accruals, prepaids, and allocations.
  2. Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring that all entries are accurate, and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  3. Month-End and Quarter-End Close: Assist with the preparation and execution of month-end and quarter-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, adjustments, and financial reports.
  4. Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  5. Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
  6. Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to general ledger and financial reporting processes.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  3. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
  4. Bonus Skills: Familiarity with process automation and internal controls.
